They often use fear to “keep us in line” and “keep us quiet”. I’ve seen so many women struggling with anxiety today. Channel your inner divine rage instead. That ancient, sacred anger that is saying NO MORE! That demands freedom for all. Trying not to rock the boat or say things that were controversial or that make people uncomfortable. Even online it has been my focus to “be positive and spread love and light”. And I see so many others in the spiritual space focusing on “love and light” as well. But we are more than just the light. You can’t have the day without the night. You cannot have light without dark. This world is all about duality. And I denied the dark feminine energy within me for far too long, like so many women. Those who are unafraid of embodying their dark feminine energy have often been vilified. That energy is about passion, sensuality, intuition, creation, and power. It is the center of a woman’s power. So it’s no surprise that it has been suppressed for thousands of years. It is not evil, unless you choose that path. But it is a part of all of us. And without it we cannot be whole. There is something powerful that has been rising up within me for a while. It is profound and it is deep. I can’t help but think of all of the innocent women my age who lost their lives because they were middle age or elderly and branded a witch. I can’t help but think of all of the time women were expected to be small and quiet in the world, while the men who claimed to be their protectors were the ones they needed to be protected from. It’s rising and those who embrace the patriarchal systems of the world are afraid of it. Do you feel it calling to you too? Spend some time online and you would swear that people are getting meaner. And maybe you find that you have less patience with others. To the point that other people’s problems sometimes make you angry. I have had this happen and it made me feel like a horrible person! But truth be told, It was compassion fatigue. For more than 4 years we have been dealing with what seems like trauma after trauma. Pandemics, wars, natural disasters. We have had prolonged exposure to traumatic events and have been thrown into a state of chronic stress. It is a big warning sign from the body that self-care is not just needed, but is mandatory!
