Homemade Greek Dressing

I am a big fan of Greek Salad. They are seriously my favorite salad.  But I’ve found that so many store-bought varieties contain a whole lot of ingredients that I really don’t want to consume! And let’s not forget about all the added sugar! Ugh! Now that I’ve cleaned up what I’m eating, I want to know what I’m putting in my body! So I knew I needed to make my own Greek dressing. This recipe has very simple ingredients, so you know what you’re eating.

That is definitely better for my body, and I want to do what’s best to help me be the healthiest version of me possible! I love that this recipe doesn’t contain any added sugar. I’m always amazed at how many products out there do!

This is now what I make any time I need Greek dressing. And I use it on more than just salads. It actually makes a great marinade for chicken as well.

Homemade Greek Dressing

Quick, simple and healthier than store bought versions
Prep Time 10 mins
Total Time 10 mins
Course Salad
Servings 4 servings

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • In a closable salad dressing bottle, add all of the ingredients.
  • Shake well to mix.
  • Store in the refrigerator.

I have used both apple cider vinegar and red wine vinegar for this recipe. Although the red wine vinegar is better, apple cider vinegar works in a pinch and is still downright yummy!
